Who She is

June S.Lindland Havens

June, a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, was raised in New Jersey and educated at the McDowell School of Fashion Design and Illustration in New York City. June was inspired to utilize her earlier training, transforming her attention to detail so necessary in fashion illustration to the painstaking exactness of botanical watercolors.

An avid gardener, June has developed an appreciation for the complexity and beauty of flowers, which she attempts to capture in her paintings.

June has studied under Margaret Saul, the internationally renowned botanic artist and founder of The Margaret Saul School of Botanic Art and Illustration in Brisbane, Australia, Linda Funk Botanical Artist, of Rockland Maine. More recently, June has studied painting on natural vellum with Carol Woodin and has painted under Constance Sayas of the Denver Botanic Gardens School of Botanical Art and Illustration.

June’s paintings are in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, England and Germany. As a member of the Eastham Painters Guild since 1994, June shows her work regularly from May to October at the Old School House Museum in Eastham, MA.
